Experience required:
- Design and construction experience in highways commercial awareness.
- Working knowledge of Local Authority and national design standards and contracts.
- Working knowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations.
- Ability to contribute to engineering projects with values exceeding £1m from initiation through to completion with support of a senior engineer.
- Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents.
- Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, TSRGD, MCHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards.
- Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous).
- Full UK/EEC driving licence.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Educated to HND or degree level in civil engineering BEng/Meng (or equivalent).
- Hold or be working towards an appropriate professional qualification (IEng / CEng etc).
