Responsibilities
- Deliver bridge or highway structure design, assessment, inspection or maintenance projects for a varied client base.
- Undertake structural analysis, calculations and detailed design independently.
- Apply DMRB, Eurocodes and/or relevant British Standards in projects.
- Prepare AIPs, assessment reports, design statements, specifications, BoQs or PCI packs.
- Understand and apply CDM Regulations on projects.
- Mentor engineers or supervise small teams (Desirable).
- Utilise industry standard structural analysis software.
Qualifications
- Essential: UK experience within a public, private or third sector engineering environment.
- Essential: Experience delivering bridge or highway structure design, assessment, inspection or maintenance projects.
- Essential: Ability to independently undertake structural analysis, calculations and detailed design.
- Essential: Confident in applying DMRB, Eurocodes and/or relevant British Standards.
- Essential: Experience producing AIPs, assessment reports, design statements, specifications, BoQs or PCI packs.
- Essential: Understanding of CDM Regulations and experience applying them on projects.
- Essential: Proficient with industry standard structural analysis software.
- Essential: HNC/HND/BEng/BSc/MEng or equivalent.
- Essential: Working toward IEng/CEng or recently achieved.
- Desirable: Experience mentoring engineers or supervising small teams.
- Desirable: Experience with digital asset management systems.
- Desirable: Experience in inspections or asset management planning.
- Desirable: Awareness of temporary works and complex structural assessments.
