Asanexperienceddrainageengineer,youwillberesponsiblefordesigningbelowgroundfoulandsurfacewaterdrainagesystemstoensuresafewaterorsewerageflowsformultipleprojects.

Thejobroleofthedrainageengineerinvolvesthefollowingmainduties:

• Planningbelowgroundfoulandsurfacewaterdrainagesystemsusingcomputermodellingsoftware
• Undertakingtechnicalbelowgrounddrainagedesignworks,i.e.belowgrounddrainagelayoutdrawings,belowgrounddrainagedetaildrawings,belowgrounddrainagespecificationdocumentation,etc.
• Attendingprojectmeetings
• Visitingsitestogainanunderstandingoftheproject
• Liaisingwithotherteamsanddepartments
• Liaisingwithotherexternaldesignteammembersonvariousprojects
• Workingwithclientstoensurethattheirrequirementsarefulfilled,andexpectationsmet
• Usingadvancedcomputermodellingtools,i.e.InfoDrainage,inthedesignofbelowgroundfoulandsurfacewaterdrainagesystems
• Assessingtheenvironmentalimpactofproposedworks
• Keepinguptodatewithchanginglegislationandcodesofpracticetoensurecompliance
• Answeringtechnicalqueries,bothinternallyandexternallywithotherparties,etc.
• Visitingthesiteduringconstruction(whererequired)tomakesuretheworksarecompletedtospecification
• Undertakingdrainagestrategyreportsinordertosatisfyplanningconditionrequirementsonprojects
• Liaisingandagreeingonpre-developmentenquiresandSection106agreementsonvariousprojects
• LiaisingandagreeingwithSection106agreementsonvariousprojects
• Abletoworkonmultipleprojectsinordertosatisfytheinternalprogrammerequirements
• Experienceofdesigningsinglebuildingandmulti-buildingsitebelowgrounddrainagesystems
