Job summary
Waterloo Medical Centre is looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027, working 5-6 sessions per week.
We are a well-established GP training practice serving around 12,500 patients and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality patient care. You'll work alongside experienced GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
This role includes routine GP consultations, clinical administration, management of results and correspondence, with opportunities to become involved in teaching and service development. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified GPs.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide high-quality primary medical care to our patient population of approximately 12,500 patients. Duties will include delivering face-to-face, telephone and online consultations, assessing and managing acute and chronic conditions, reviewing test results, prescribing medication, and completing associated clinical administration.
The role involves working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high professional standards, support continuity of care and contribute positively to the ongoing development of the practice.

Job responsibilities
In addition to the main clinical duties outlined above, the successful candidate will:
- Undertake a share of home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of services.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team, PCN colleagues and community healthcare professionals.
- Support the delivery of high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with practice policies and NHS requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and service development initiatives.
- Support the education and supervision of GP trainees, medical students and other learners where appropriate.
- Maintain GMC registration, NHS Performers List status and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
