Waterlillie Clark Ltd is a professional garden maintenance and landscaping company based in Plympton, Plymouth. We operate multiple maintenance teams and a landscaping division, delivering high-quality services to private and commercial clients across the South West.

The Role

We are seeking a Seasonal Assistant Gardener to support one of our senior team members during our busy autumn and winter season. This is a hands-on role where you\’ll be working outdoors in all weathers, helping with garden maintenance and general site tasks.

This is a temporary position running through October, November and into December, with the possibility of continuation depending on workload and weather conditions.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, and weeding
  • Helping with site tidy-ups and seasonal maintenance tasks
  • Supporting on small landscaping or clearance projects as required
  • Working as part of a small, professional team

What We\’re Looking For

  • Experience in gardening, landscaping or outdoor/manual work preferred
  • However, we\’re happy to consider applicants with a genuine interest in gardening, who are fit, healthy and keen to learn
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
  • A good team player with a positive attitude
  • Full, clean driving licence preferred (ability to get to Plympton start point essential)

What We Offer

  • Hourly pay starting at £12.51 per hour (higher rate available for experienced candidates)
  • Seasonal work during our busiest period
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Training and support from skilled gardeners and landscapers
  • Possibility of ongoing work in the new year, depending on weather and workload

  • Gardening: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
