SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people-first culture. As a result of continued growth, we’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Principal or Associate Transport Planner to join our established Bristol team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant who wants to do more than deliver great projects. We're looking for someone who can help strengthen and expand our presence across the South West, build lasting client relationships, identify new opportunities and play a key role in the continued growth of our transport planning business.

Working closely with regional and national leaders, you'll have the platform to influence strategy, develop key accounts and help secure the next generation of projects for the team:

  • Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across a diverse client portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business
  • Identify opportunities, support bids and contribute to winning new work
  • Lead client meetings, presentations and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage project performance, profitability and programme delivery
  • Deliver high-quality Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
  • Mentor developing team members and support the growth of the team

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Planning, Environmental and Engineering disciplines on impactful projects, with opportunities to work across the UK as part of a wider national team.

SLR's 'One Team' culture is at the heart of our business, providing a collaborative and supportive environment where people can develop and grow. Through a structured career framework, regular performance reviews, and support towards chartership, professional qualifications and licences, we offer excellent opportunities for long-term career progression. Our flexible benefits and reward package includes:
