At Wardle Academy, we take immense pride in providing a safe, bright, and welcoming learning environment for our students and staff. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and dedicated School Cleaner to join our friendly site team.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily routines will play a vital role in keeping our high school safe and hygienic. Duties include:
- Cleaning designated areas of the school, including classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, and toilets.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
- Ensuring soap, paper towels, and sanitiser dispensers are replenished.
- Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly (training provided).
- Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety hazards to the Site Manager.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is preferred, but not essential— a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Awareness: A basic understanding of COSHH (Health & Safety) is a bonus, though full training will be given.
Note: Because this role is based within a high school, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check prior to starting employment.
