Winter Support Assistant – Watergate Bay Hotel
This winter, we’re bringing a 360-square-metre ice rink to Watergate Bay for the very first time. Set against the Atlantic with sea views, festive lights and crisp coastal air. Open daily to locals and hotel guests it’s skating, reimagined right on the shoreline.
To give our guests and visitors the best experience this festive season we’re looking for several Winter Support Assistants to join us at Watergate Bay on a festive seasonal contract from October through to January.
Our Winter Support Assistants role:
For our guests, how their visit makes them feel is crucial; being cared about, looked after, and welcome. We’re looking for individuals who are attentive, outgoing, with a can-do attitude to make visitors and guests feel at home. From the first impression when they arrive, to the final goodbye at the end of their skate.
As our Winter Support Assistant, you’ll be
- Supporting on the ice rink ensuring skaters are safe and looked after on the ice
- Exchanging boots so guests are ready for their time slot and raring to go
- Serving drinks and pizza from our pizza container
- Clearing tables and ensuring the areas surrounding the ice rink are clean for the next skating session
This is a temporary contract from October through to early January.
We have several part-time and full-time hours available. The ice rink will be open on the following days/times so shifts will be scheduled to cover over these timings. Your availability and our requirements will be discussed at the interview stage.
- Monday & Tuesday: 3pm – 8pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: 12noon – 8pm
- Friday & Sunday: 10am – 8pm
- Saturday: 11am – 9pm

- Ideally we’re looking for candidates of 18 years and over due to the need to serve alcohol unsupervised.
