Working closely with the Operations Director, you’ll lead our hotel management team, ensuring every part of the operation works together to deliver the standards, warmth and personality that make Watergate Bay Hotel distinctive.

What we’re looking for:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within a quality hotel operation, with a proven track record across guest experience, multi-department operations, F&B performance and people leadership.
  • Understanding of hotel P&Ls, productivity, revenue drivers, budgets and commercial performance.
  • A passion for hospitality, understanding what makes a hotel exceptional and thriving on being present, visible and engaged in the day-to-day operation.
  • Commercially aware, operationally excellent and, above all, an inspiring leader of people.

You’ll be:

  • A passionate hospitality leader with exceptional guest instincts.
  • Commercially minded, with strong operational and financial judgement.
  • An inspiring, visible and authentic leader of people.
  • Confident making decisions and holding others accountable.
  • Highly attentive to detail while understanding wider business priorities.

  • Genuinely committed to sustainability and responsible business.
  • Most importantly, you’ll care. About our guests. About your team. About the details.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring consistently high standards across F&B, rooms, housekeeping, events, maintenance and the Swim Club.
  • Championing a genuinely guest-first culture, using feedback and insight to continually improve the experience.
  • Leading, coaching and developing departmental leaders, creating accountability, collaboration and a high-performing culture.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of management team members, helping to build a strong pipeline of future talent.
  • Delivering agreed operational and commercial objectives through effective management of labour, productivity, costs and departmental performance.
  • Working with the Operations Director, Head of Brand and wider teams to ensure programming, F&B, events and guest experiences are both distinctive and commercially effective.
  • Bringing the Watergate Bay brand and values to life through everyday leadership, behaviours and decision-making.
  • Championing our commitments to people, place and planet, embedding sustainability into the way the hotel operates.
  • Protecting what makes Watergate Bay special while continually finding ways to make it better.

Great hospitality is felt, not simply delivered. It comes from the people, the energy and the care behind every experience we create.

Why us? At Watergate Bay Hotel, you’ll be joining a values-led business with an ambitious team, a distinctive brand and a genuine commitment to its people, its place and its future. Through proper hospitality, active relaxation and thoughtful experiences, we create the time and space for guests and teams to feel their best. Everything we do is rooted in warmth, confidence and care, with sustainability and community firmly at our heart.

As our Hotel Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape this experience every day, from the quality of our service to the culture of the team delivering it. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, with enhanced maternity and paternity pay, ongoing professional development, team experiences and events throughout the year, and discounts on stays, food and drink and activities.
