The role:

  • Summer holiday cover: July and August
  • Flexible days
  • 3.5 hr shifts

At our hotel, we're looking for a team who are passionate about making every beach session magic, value positive lifestyle choices and excel in imagination and energy. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside others who prioritize nature-based learning and outdoor exploration.

We seek dynamic individuals who understand that the beach is our playground - we know how to make the most of being so close to it, whatever the weather. You'll thrive on teamwork, eager to get stuck in with fire pit cooking, whittling and rock pooling. The role is all about encouraging children to connect with nature and inspiring conservation from a young age. If you're a likemind, with a qualification in Forest/Beach School, and a passion for all things beach, it's you we're looking for.

What your days could look like:

  • Providing quality beach sessions for children 5 - 13 years, through planning and organising fun, active, exciting and age-appropriate activities.
  • Foster children's imaginations and creative flair through storytelling, rockpool adventures and crafting.
  • Ensuring children are kept safe whilst developing key life skills in a risk-controlled environment.
  • Develop good working relationships with team, parents/carers.
  • Complete daily administration tasks as needed.
  • Take on a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts over July and August.

Job skills & requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in a Forest School/Beach School programme
  • Proven experience delivering childcare and play opportunities in a childcare setting
  • Current Paediatric first aid certificate and knowledge of outdoor first aid.
  • An Enhanced DBS disclosure is required
  • Good communicator
  • Calm under pressure
  • Energetic team player with positive attitude and outlook
  • Experience of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management and inclusion procedures
