Primary Classroom Teacher in Brompton

Primary Classroom Teacher in Brompton

Brompton Full-Time No working from home possible
Waterfront UTC

Waterfront UTC is seeking an exceptional and committed Primary Classroom Teacher to lead our literacy and numeracy catch-up provision for students in Year 9-13 who join secondary school working below age-related expectations.

This is a unique opportunity for a talented primary practitioner to make a direct and measurable impact on student outcomes. Many of our students arrive with gaps in reading, comprehension, writing and numeracy that can act as barriers to success across the wider curriculum. Your role will be to identify these gaps early and deliver high-quality, targeted teaching and intervention that enables students to rapidly catch up, build confidence and access learning successfully.

Working closely with curriculum leaders, SEND staff, pastoral teams and families, you will design personalised programmes of support, track progress rigorously and ensure students develop the foundational skills needed to thrive in secondary education. You will play a key role in helping vulnerable and disadvantaged learners overcome barriers to achievement and fulfil their potential.

This role would suit an outstanding primary teacher who is passionate about literacy, numeracy and inclusion, and who is motivated by seeing students make transformational progress. If you believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point, we would love to hear from you.

This is a part time, fixed term role, paid on the STPC Main/Upper Teacher Pay Range, dependant on experience.

The working pattern will consist of 13 hours per week (0.4 FTE). There is flexibility with the working days and pattern and are to be discussed at interview level. This role is fixed term until July 2027, due to the mainstream inclusive funding.

What can we offer you?

The successful candidate will be someone who has high expectations and is passionate about education. In return, we can promise an investment in you and your future, offering a competitive remuneration package, providing first class professional development and career opportunities.

We value our staff and actively support their professional development and have redesigned our working week to place even greater emphasis on employee development. You will have access to ongoing professional development including accredited courses. If you are looking to extend your experience and would be interested in joining our team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
