Water UK is looking to recruit an Advocacy Manager - a critical role supporting the organisation’s growing political engagement, campaign delivery and policy influencing work. This is a fast-paced and varied role at the centre of a nationally significant agenda. You will report to the new Head of Advocacy and work closely with senior colleagues to support high-profile campaigns and help shape Water UK’s political engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the political landscape and regulatory developments, providing timely analysis and advice.
  • Support the planning and delivery of advocacy campaigns across key strategic priorities, alongside the Head of Advocacy and Director of Public Affairs.
  • Coordinate engagement with senior stakeholders at the highest level, both internally and externally, and produce high-quality materials including speaking notes and stakeholder briefings.
  • Collaborate with the wider public affairs, policy, communications and member engagement teams to ensure coherent and aligned advocacy activity.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of UK politics and parliamentary processes, with prior experience working in advocacy, public affairs or similar role.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive material, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.
