What will I be doing:
- Site-Based Maintenance & Servicing: Carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishment activities on equipment installed at wastewater and related water industry sites.
- Chemical Handling & Process Cleaning: Safely handle and work with treatment chemicals on a daily basis, undertaking chemical cleaning and dosing activities in accordance with site procedures, health and safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical and commercial support to customers, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Gather operational feedback and site observations to support continuous improvement and future product development.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with site operators, maintenance teams, and key stakeholders. Provide recommendations to improve process performance, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Fault Finding: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and process-related issues on-site, responding to breakdowns and operational challenges to minimise downtime and maintain compliance with treatment requirements.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Work in accordance with water industry standards, site-specific safety procedures, and environmental regulations, maintaining a strong commitment to safe working practices at all times.
- Flexibility: Demonstrate a flexible approach to customer and operational requirements. The role will involve travel to wastewater sites and may require nights away and occasional weekend working.
What you will bring to the role:
- Mechanical engineering background preferred.
- Experience working within the water, wastewater, process, or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
- Electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a site-based environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
