This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and responsibility. You'll manage projects end-to-end—from initial scoping and pricing through to delivery and customer support—giving you full ownership and the satisfaction of seeing tangible results. The work is highly collaborative, involving close engagement with customers, suppliers, wholesalers, and internal teams, allowing you to build strong industry relationships and contribute to new service development.
You’ll also play a strategic part in shaping Water Efficiency offerings across a wide portfolio of customers, while enhancing your technical expertise in an area that is increasingly important across the UK’s water industry.
Key responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of customers and projects, specializing in Water Efficiency.
- Project Management: Enter new requests into the CRM system, generate unique reference identifiers, and issue all necessary project documentation.
- Pricing and Costs: Following the relevant processes and approval level, price and cost any customer projects ensuring value for Water Plus customers.
- Proposal and Project Delivery: Manage proposals and project execution, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet specific requirements. Ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Collaboration: Work with key partners including a focus on Wholesalers unique to this role, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery. Highlight or nurture opportunities for additional products and services for the VAS team through these relationships.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with wholesalers, customers, suppliers, and internal teams on behalf of the VAS team.
- Degree or College Qualification in a technical discipline is desirable.
- Essential knowledge & skills needed:
- Technical experience in the water industry, including field-level operations and project management ideally focussed in Water Efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of the water industry and retail market dynamics.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Experience of working with a CRM system/software.
- Valid Full Driving Licence.
- Strong experience of Water Efficiency Technology, equipment and projects.
- Experience of working with Wholesalers and Customers to scope, develop and deliver projects.
