Water Compliance Services Ltd (WCS) are looking for an experienced service engineer to join our team to help us manage and develop our growing work commitments from our loyal customer base. Full training is provided for the right candidate who has the enthusiasm and commitment to grow and develop with our company.
The job is a varied role and covers all aspects of water compliance tasks from Legionella control to water treatment to water regulation compliance works. The role will entail undertaking:
- Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
- New building/existing building pipework alterations pre-commission disinfections
- Newly installed mains water disinfections
- Closed heating and chilled water system flushing and treatment works to BSRIA BG29
- Closed system analysis utilising our in-house test kit
- Water sampling - Legionella, bacterial and closed systems
- Thermostatic mixer valve servicing
- Domestic and Emergency shower and eye wash clean, descale and disinfection works
- Remedial plumbing works - removal of deadleg pipework/plumbing alterations etc.
- Helping out on Legionella monitoring visits when required
- Cooling tower clean and disinfections
- Cooling tower water treatment analysis
Our work is predominately based in the Yorkshire region, but we do have customers nationwide and working away from home is sometimes necessary. This is usually 1-2 days on average per month or less regular. As stated, working away is very minimal and suitable notice is given when needed. Weekend working is also sometimes required, but again minimal and we try and never work Sundays.
The job package consists of:
- A competitive salary which will be agreed upon dependent on your current skill level with the chance to increase this through development and employment reviews
- Overtime paid at time and half upon agreement with your line manager
- Travelling allowance paid when travelling over 1 hour from home before arrival on site
- Commission paid on job work that is generated by the engineer

- Subsistence paid for working over 25 miles away from home
- Working away allowance paid
- Company vehicle, fuel card and private mileage allowance provided
- Mobile phone - tablet or laptop
- Full uniform and PPE
- 20 days holidays plus the normal 8 bank holidays
- 3 days holiday taken off the allowance over Christmas so we all get a nice break
- Holidays increased at 1 day per year up to the maximum of 25 years after 2 years continuous employment with the company
- Medical insurance offered after 2 years continuous employment with the company
A good understanding of the English written and spoken language is very important as this is a face-to-face role with written reports created on a daily basis.
