The Role
As an ANPR Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the physical installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and CCTV systems. You will work both independently on site and collaboratively as part of a wider engineering team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission ANPR cameras, CCTV, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Carry out electrical wiring, inspection, and testing on newly installed and existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and test results.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Electrically Qualified: You must hold relevant electrical qualifications, including Inspection & Testing certification.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Location: Based in the Bournemouth area (or within a 20-mile radius) and capable of commuting daily to Bournemouth Airport.
- Work Ethic: Highly reliable, with the ability to work independently on your own initiative as well as seamlessly within a team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to stay away from home overnight from time to time to support regional projects.
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Previous experience installing or maintaining ANPR or CCTV camera systems.
- Good IT experience (networking, hardware configuration, or basic software troubleshooting).
- A valid HGV licence is highly desirable.
