Job Description

Temporary – MAT Cover. Do you have considerable experience within a retail environment at Assistant Buyer / Junior Buyer level? Do you have a creative eye, product flair? Are you able to coordinate a number of competing priorities?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and driven Buyer to join our US Buying Team based in our London Office. Reporting to the Head of Department you will plan and negotiate the purchase of merchandise in order to optimise departmental sales and company profitability. Responsible for delivering agreed business, revenue and margin objectives in your field you will ensure the effective delivery of the Buying strategy whilst tracking the relevant budgets.

About You

  • Considerable experience within a retail environment at Assistant Buyer / Junior Buyer level
  • Ability to co-ordinate a number of competing priorities
  • Ability to work within a budget whilst still being able to trade profit opportunities on a continual basis
  • Ability to manage and coach to deliver outstanding results as part of a team
  • Knowledge of buying software
  • A high level of IT literacy
  • Ability to prepare and deliver proposals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels within an organisation
