Shipping & Logistics Manager Job Vacancy

Oversee & provide support for all freight movements on behalf of customers globally. The incumbent will play a leading role in the management of critical logistics and shipping operations between customers sites globally to ensure all aspects of the business are able to run smoothly. Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee & provide support for all freight movements on behalf of customers globally.
  • Ensure export control guidelines and export licence requirements are being met.
  • Responsible for leading the team and updating the internal online shipping system.
  • Liaise with external HMRC, BIS, DIT, freight forwarders, Integrators and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Collaborate internally with Finance, Tax, Procurement and Compliance teams within the business.
  • Ensure that all shipping documentation is completed to HMRC/BIFA Customs standards taking on board the new 2021 Brexit regulations.

Key requirements:

  • Sound base of logistics management experience with the ability to think strategically.
  • High levels of knowledge of global export control legislation.
  • Experience of export licence applications.
  • Demonstrable proficiency of imports, exports, door-to-door shipments, international shipping terms, dealing with overseas freight forwarders and HMRC, BIS.
  • Logistics qualification would be an advantage.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and oral, and the ability to produce quality reports for presentation at board level.
  • Drive and enthusiasm and a willingness to take on additional responsibility
