Our client, a leading provider of hazardous waste management services, is looking to recruit a Technical Assessor to be based at their Hazardous Waste Transfer Station in South Essex.
Working with the Technical department you will liaise with the Customer Services and Sales teams to price new enquiries, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials, to determine disposal options, customer quotations and compliance requirements.
This role will require experience in Hazardous Waste Management and a knowledge of waste outlets to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Essential Requirements:
- Chemistry knowledge
- Knowledge of waste related waste legislation including Hazardous Waste Regulations, Environmental Permitting, and an understanding of ADR
- Understand how to classify hazardous waste for disposal and transport
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Numerate with an understanding of business costing
- Profit and service focused
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to proactively manage your time and activities to ensure high level of efficiency and output
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
This is a permanent, full-time, site-based role. Work hours are 8am – 5pm, Mon to Fri.
