About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Instrument Technician to join our clients regional operations team following their success in taking over a large contract in the wastewater sector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all instrumentation systems are fully operational, accurately calibrated, and compliant with industry standards. Your work will directly support the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our treatment facilities. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will carry out routine, reactive, and remedial maintenance across multiple sites, always working in a safe and efficient manner. You will also take part in an out-of-hours standby rota, responding promptly to emergency call-outs and ensuring operational compliance is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on instrumentation systems and control valves to minimise downtime
- Calibrate field instruments and troubleshoot complex control loops, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Install, set up, and test new instrumentation during project work and facility upgrades
- Carry out daily routine maintenance tasks across treatment facilities, including cleaning, sampling, and general upkeep
- Support fault finding and resolution to maintain optimal plant performance
- Assist your Manager in planning daily activities and prioritising tasks
