Join a leading force in the UK construction industry. Our client is the UK’s leading trader of primary, recycled, and secondary aggregates. Operating across the Southwest, they manage three inert landfill sites and a waste treatment facility, handling over 1.5 million tonnes of Construction, Demolition, and Excavation (CD&E) waste each year.

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Technical Waste Advisor to join their Environmental & Compliance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in waste management to play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and operational excellence.

The Role

  • Assess and classify waste materials to determine their suitability for our facilities.
  • Ensure full compliance with Waste Acceptance Procedures, environmental permits, and regulatory requirements, while supporting both operational and commercial teams.
  • Ensure day-to-day compliance of waste movements alongside the Environmental Compliance Manager.
  • Review site investigations, soil reports, and waste classifications.
  • Approve or reject materials, identifying opportunities for segregation.
  • Log and manage waste enquiries using SoilFLO.
  • Liaise with customers and site teams to provide technical advice (office-based and occasional site visits).
