Refuse Recycling Driver – LGV Rugby £34,110 – £36,862 per year Including Market Supplement and vehicle check payment. Pay award pending. Full time - Permanent - up to 42 hours per week. Waste Recruit are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Rugby area for Class 2 Drivers to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position working locally across the borough, collecting household and trade waste and recycling. The role You'll be driving waste collection vehicles and working as part of a crew to make sure collections are completed safely and on time. Your day-to-day duties will include: * Driving Class 2 waste and recycling collection vehicles * Carrying out daily vehicle checks * Collecting household, recycling and trade waste * Working alongside the collection crew * Making sure collections are completed safely and to the required standard * Supporting street sweeping operations when required * Dealing professionally with residents and members of the public What you'll need You'll need: * A valid Category C / Class 2 licence * Driver CPC qualification and valid DCQ card * A valid Digital Tachograph Card * A good understanding of safe driving and vehicle checks * To be comfortable working outdoors and as part of a crew Previous waste or recycling experience would be useful, but isn't essential.
