Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK. A vacancy currently exists for a Procurement Data Processor to play a vital role in managing all parts, materials, and commodities at one of the company’s Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities in Kent. You’ll ensure that procurement practices align with company policy, safety requirements, and environmental standards while maintaining service quality.

Main Duties:

  • Managing Q4 stock inventory data, reviewing stock levels, and processing stock orders
  • Raising and managing requests for quotations for stock, consumables, and tools
  • Reviewing supplier quotations and making procurement recommendations
  • Generating and managing purchase orders in line with Group IMS procedures
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Matching invoices with purchase orders and investigating discrepancies
  • Supporting site compliance with hire plant and equipment policies
  • Participating in procurement activities and liaising with the Group Procurement team
  • Supporting stakeholders with stockholding exercises and implementing best practices
  • Negotiating pricing agreements for frequently purchased items

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years’ procurement experience in recycling, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inputting large data sets into MRP systems
  • Strong understanding of stock inventory systems and procurement processes
  • Essential knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.

Work hours – 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
