WasteRecruit are working with a global trader of plastic scrap and recyclates to recruit a trader in Central America. The client has established themselves across Europe and has had success in other markets over the past few years. They are currently sourcing material in Mexico and importing it to Europe for a range of customers and are looking to expand that operation by recruiting a commercially astute professional to join the team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the existing accounts and suppliers, as well as being tasked with expanding their business opportunities. We are particularly keen on speaking to the following: * Candidates with excellent technical knowledge of engineering grade plastics – a deep understanding of different regrinds and their applications * Candidates with a network of contacts – particularly amongst the reprocessors and recyclers in Mexico – knowing where material is and who best to approach in order to source * Candidates who have operated at a senior level, demonstrating an ability to identify and foster long-lasting relationships with suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity lead in the development of the clients operations in Central and South America. There is potential here for the role to grow as this emerging market grows over the coming years
