Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK. A vacancy currently exists for an Outage Planner to take responsibility for planning preventative and reactive outage work at the company’s Energy from Waste plant in Kent. You will ensure all resources are used in the most effective manner to maximise plant SHEQ performance, availability and throughput. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, 8am to 4pm.

Main Duties:

  • Be a key member in the planning, execution and completion of planned outages on each of the 3 lines as well as the steam turbine/generator and other common plant
  • Develop workflow process to ensure site resources are used in the most effective manner
  • Drive the development of the CMMS
  • Manage and contribute towards the team effort
  • Ensure that all activities within the site are carried out in a safe manner
  • Ensure visitors/subcontractors attending the site are inducted in the site safety and emergency procedures
  • Ensure site housekeeping standards are achieved and developed
  • Prepare and submit financial applications for funding
  • Ensure stock and non-stock materials are ordered and available as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
