Are you passionate about shaping sustainable development and influencing how the UK manages its land and resources? Our client is a dynamic consultancy specialising in brownfield development, delivering comprehensive support from planning and permitting through to preconstruction. As they continue to expand their environmental division, they are seeking a dedicated Environmental Consultant to support projects across the waste, renewables, and quarrying sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Environmental Permit applications (variations, transfers, surrenders), liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in compiling Planning Applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Produce or support the creation of technical reports including:
  • Air Quality Assessments
  • Noise Assessments
  • Geological and Hydrogeological Assessments
  • Provide environmental advice and support across wider waste & recycling, minerals, and energy development projects.
  • Organise and supervise technical site assessments and investigations, including in-situ and ex-situ testing.
  • Carry out other related duties as required in support of the environmental division’s growth.
  • About You:

    • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
    • An interest or background in waste management, energy, minerals, or brownfield regeneration is highly desirable.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
