Waste King is a specialist waste collection and processing company with over 18 years of successful operation. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Waste Transfer Site Operative to join our team at our Cheddington waste transfer site.
The Role
This is a practical role based at a busy waste transfer site. You will be working outdoors year-round as part of a supportive and experienced team. The role involves physical work, waste handling, and operating site machinery, with full training provided where required. This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is happy working outside in all weathers, and is looking for secure, long-term employment with an established company.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting, handling, and moving different waste streams
- Supporting day to day waste transfer site operations
- Operating site plant and machinery, including excavators and material handlers (training provided)
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient working environment
- Delivering a high standard of customer service
Skills & Experience
- Experience operating excavators or material handlers (6–20 tonne) preferred but not essential
- Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential
