Do you enjoy working independently, being on the road, and staying active? We’re looking for a Driver & Loader to join our growing team. You’ll be provided with a modern company van that you can take home, along with everything you need to do the job safely and professionally – including a fuel card, PPE, mobile phone, and equipment.
Full onboarding and training will be provided by one of our experienced drivers, ensuring you’re confident in both the role and the way we work. Waste King is a specialist waste and recycling company with over 18 years’ industry experience. Based in Hertfordshire and employing 35+ local team members, we’re proud of our reputation for outstanding customer service and environmental responsibility. Now, due to continued growth, we’re expanding our driving team.
The Role
As a Driver & Loader, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering outstanding customer service on every job
- Driving, maintaining, and keeping your vehicle clean and presentable
- Lifting and loading a variety of waste streams into company vehicles
- Using a handheld PDA to receive jobs and complete digital worksheets
- Communicating clearly with the office team and providing accurate updates
- Completing daily vehicle walk around checks and reporting defects promptly
You’ll receive full in-house training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a valid UK driving licence with no major endorsements
- Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Has a safe place to park a company vehicle overnight
- Is reliable and self-motivated
Previous driving or waste industry experience is preferred but not essential – the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.
