About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Tasman, you will be responsible for operating sweeper and hydrovac vehicles safely and efficiently while delivering services that meet customer and operational requirements. You will work closely with customers, complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain accurate records, and support the overall success of the Tasman operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sweeper and hydrovac vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Complete pre-start vehicle checks and basic fleet maintenance.
- Follow designated routes and customer service requirements.
- Liaise with customers on-site and provide excellent customer service.
- Complete required paperwork and data entry accurately.
- Attend toolbox meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and vehicle issues promptly.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with WasteCo policies and New Zealand Transport regulations.
What You'll Bring
- A current Class 2 Driver's Licence (essential).
- Previous experience operating sweepers, hydrovacs, or within industrial services (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer and administration skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A flexible, can-do attitude and commitment to safety.
