Key Duties
- Working as part of a small established team on a shift system.
- Responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment in accordance with the company and local procedures.
- Ensure site license/permit and working plan conditions are adhered to.
- Adhere to all local and company Health & Safety procedures.
- Operate a variety of process equipment under the direction of the Team Leader and senior site staff.
- Receive and supervise tanker loading/off-loading.
- Operate tank farm systems including transfer to acid plant.
- Operate acid plant and process batches as per site instructions from Team Leader, Site Chemists, and senior members of staff.
- Carry out all activities to a high standard of housekeeping.
- Accurately complete all documentation relevant to site activities.
- Sample all processes under the direction of the Chemists and Team Leaders.
- Operate mobile plant including FLT’s, Ro-Ro, and site tanker.
- Undertake pre-use inspections of all mobile plant.
- Adhere to local site procedures and risk assessments.
- Report to Team Leader and site defects.
- Work closely with other site personnel, customers, and drivers.
- Complete shift logs and handover with Team Leader and other operatives.
- Perform other reasonable duties as and when directed by site management.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience of Chemical Operations.
- Working knowledge of waste industry preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of safety aspects of plant operation.
- Valid driving license – required.
- Fork Lift Truck license – required.
- Class 2 driving license – desirable.
