TCTR is a textile recycling company established in 1990, with 34 years of growth. We are based in Surrey BC with an operation in Calgary. We recycle textiles from the whole of Western Canada and ship finished product around the world.

We are an environmentally green company without the greenwash.

Clothing Sorter Positions:

Responsibilities:

  • Sorting clothing, shoes, and accessory
  • Grade quality of item based on customers’ and management’s standards and requirements
  • And any other duties specified by the team leaders/supervisors

Qualifications:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours with reasonable breaks). Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; and arms to reach; as well as the ability to talk, hear, and see for extended periods is required.
  • Must be able to lift 0.1 to 8 pounds
  • Knowledge of clothing, linen and accessory fashions, fabrics, styles and brand names, or willingness to learn and ability to do well after training.
  • Knowledge of household items and accessories or willingness to learn and ability to do well after training.
  • Able to learn and absorb information quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team setting with other workers on the conveyor line.
  • Must be able to recognize quality and detail, make quick decision and able to be focused.
  • Willingness to be flexible with job changes, willing to do other tasks when requested.
  • Ability to make speedy and accurate judgments of quality clothing, linens, accessories, and household items based on criteria information received during training.
  • Must be tolerant to an environment of dust, lint and clothing

Shifts : Mon-Fri 7:00 – 3:30 pm

Pay commences at $17.85 per hour with ample opportunity for advancement. The position also include a generous benefits package which kicks in after 6 months, this includes Health, Vision and Dental
