Summary
As a Salesforce Administrator you will be part of a small team responsible for the maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of the Everything Managed Salesforce estate. This will involve working closely with other members of the IT department, internal stakeholders, and third parties to ensure a quality service that supports the evolving needs of our business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a heavily customised Salesforce org, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Implement and update custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules and flows.
- Manage complex configurations, including integrations with third-party systems and customisations.
- Improve user productivity through the enhancement of page layouts, lightning components, and user interfaces.
- Improve the use of Sales Cloud by adopting standard Salesforce Sales functionality and best practice processes.
- Enhance Service Cloud for case management, knowledge management, and customer support processes.
- Support Marketing Cloud Engagement by maintaining audience segments, journeys, and integrations with other systems.
- Actively participate with other members of the Salesforce technical team in project deliverables to migrate legacy customisations to standard Salesforce OOB functionality or best practices customisations.
- Provide day-to-day internal user support, troubleshooting, and best practice guidance.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve user adoption and proficiency across the business.
- Provide new and improved reports and dashboards and end user training in the creation and use of reports to provide actionable insights.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions on time.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including training materials and technical guides.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the IT team.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator in a heavily customised Salesforce environment.
- Demonstrable experience with multi-cloud Salesforce orgs.
- Proficiency in Sales Cloud (must have), Service Cloud (must have), Marketing Cloud
- (good to have) and Experience Cloud (nice to have).
- Salesforce Administrator certification as a minimum, with additional certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL is beneficial but not essential, this would be to support investigations or change impact, you would not be expected to originate code.
- Must have hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Flow and Workflow Rules.
- Strong understand of Salesforce best practices and governance.
- Experience of replacing legacy code‑based customisations (Apex, Aura, LWC) with standard functionality or declarative customisations would be beneficial.
- Understanding of data management, deduplication, data migration and import/export processes.
- Experience of managing AppExchange solutions (Conga) and integrations with third‑party systems (e.g. ERP, Marketing Automation).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
