Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including some weekends)

About The Role

We’re looking for confident, committed people to join our team as an Environmental Enforcement Officer. The role is straightforward: you’ll spend your day on foot patrol across the city centre and outer boroughs, identifying environmental offences and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to offenders.

Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) is a leading provider working with Local Authorities to combat issues like fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and extensive industry experience, WISE is dedicated to maintaining clean and safe boroughs.

What You’ll Do

  • Patrol busy areas and outer boroughs on foot throughout your shift
  • Challenge and issue FPNs to individuals committing offences such as littering, dog fouling, and fly-tipping
  • Record activity accurately in reports and statements
  • Educate the public on environmental responsibilities
  • Work independently and as part of a supportive enforcement team

  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Resilience and confidence when dealing with the public
  • Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor patrols in all weather
  • Reliable, proactive, and detail-focused
  • Driving licence preferred (not essential)

What We Offer

  • £13.35 per hour, full-time, permanent contract
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Sunday shifts between 8am-6pm
  • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
