Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) is a leading provider working with Local Authorities to combat issues like fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and extensive industry experience, WISE is dedicated to maintaining clean and safe boroughs.
Role Overview:
As an Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer, you'll patrol the borough, engage with the community, educate on environmental issues, and enforce legislation by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrolling: Follow an agreed deployment strategy to patrol the borough.
- Investigating: Address complaints from the community and report findings to your Team Manager.
- Educating: Raise awareness about environmental crime and the importance of community participation in keeping the borough clean.
- Enforcing: Interact with offenders and issue Fixed Penalty Notices for relevant offences.
- Learning: Stay well-versed in legislation through our bespoke Enviro Crime Induction Course.
- Documenting: Maintain thorough notebook entries and witness statements for each issuance.
