This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working independently, and making a visible difference to local communities.

About Us

Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) works in partnership with Local Authorities across the UK to tackle environmental crime, including littering, fly‑tipping, dog fouling and duty of care offences. Using industry expertise, trained officers and modern technology, we deliver visible, fair and effective enforcement that helps keep boroughs clean and safe.

A Day in the Life

  • Starting your day by heading out on foot patrol across busy town centres, high‑footfall areas and residential streets
  • Observing public behaviour and identifying offences such as littering, dog fouling and fly‑tipping

  • Educating members of the public on their environmental responsibilities
  • Accurately recording evidence, statements and reports using provided systems
  • Working independently while remaining supported by a wider enforcement team and management

You’ll be outdoors for most of your shift and regularly engaging with the public, so confidence, resilience and professionalism are key.
