We are currently looking for a Tour Accountant. This role is primarily responsible for settling the financial aspects of our clients' tours for the agency. The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing settlement details of shows and confirming artist compensation for the show/tour.
- Processing any applicable refunds due to cancellations.
- Reviewing and verifying applicable deductions and/or withholding tax that occurred at the source.
- Assessing and calculating The.Team’s liability to withhold non-resident withholding tax.
- Verifying and charging back any expenses where applicable.
- Preparing and handling tour statements from start to finish.
- Providing financial analysis for all artist advances and/or loan requests.
- Reviewing and overseeing Client Accountant, Assistant Client Accountant and Accounts Administrators work.
- Providing training and support to up-skill new members and develop team members.
- Maintaining the highest degree of artists’ financial confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Experience with live events/touring experience is a plus.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Impeccable communication skills (oral, interpersonal, and written).
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and anticipate issues proactively.
- A high level of self-motivation, autonomy and initiative.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be able to effectively perform tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
