WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Partnership Development Director is responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies to create new Partnerships (sponsorships) in EMEA, primarily within MotoGP. Initiating, driving and securing new business relationships and contracts are the primary focus of this position. Success will require the ability to reach into multiple industries seeking out potential business opportunities for brands.
This role is responsible for discovering and initiating new partnerships and prospective brand clients that are specifically revenue generating propositions through the delivery of new partnership and/or sponsorship agreements. It is critical in this role to foster relationships with C-Level marketing decision makers. This role will work closely with all PD team members globally for planning as well as working closely with clients, prospects, right holders, suppliers and media contacts collaboratively and independently.
Working to grow the company’s business by:
- Developing a strong business presence across specific sectors
- Generating sales leads through maintaining and growing relationships with MotoGP industry key players
- Analysing and understanding each brand’s target audiences, business objectives and strategies to better sell THE·TEAM’s capabilities and rights.
- Targeting, building and maintaining strong senior-level relationships – finding the key decision makers – ensuring that THE·TEAM is viewed as the agency of choice to meet and exceed expectations.
- Providing the strategic basis for reaching out to prospective clients.
- Taking a leadership role in the development of proposals and presentations to these prospects.
- Being a key player in driving new concept ideation and design processes to ensure THE·TEAM maintains its leadership position in the industry.
- Being viewed as the agency who thinks outside the norm – showing strategic differentiation in solutions.
- Actively participating in the delivery of the company’s credentials to win new business.
- Identifying revenue generating opportunities with a focus to cover the broader THE·TEAM group.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
- Substantial experience in a similar position with a proven record of success in an international partnership development environment within MotoGP, targeting a range of large companies across all sectors.
- Proven results in initiating and driving new business relationships in MotoGP.
- Prior agency and business development experience including past success in managing brands that have made use of all marketing techniques including event, digital, brand marketing.
- Extensive ‘little black book’ for prospective clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated empathy and commitment to success, along with a proven ability to manage expectations.
