Responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure an efficient, accurate & timely Financial & Management Accounting function. Primarily responsible for supporting THE·TEAM EMEA Marketing Services division known as Brands & Properties (B&P). Assisting the financial close and reporting process, including the month and year end management and statutory reporting. Provide a high level of service to THE·TEAM business, in particular the transactional function of finance.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and modifying Brands & Properties projects, contracts, project budgets, and customer invoices according to THE·TEAM or Client requirements.
  • Preparation of project reconciliations, by monitoring progress of projects and investigating any variances in a timely manner.
  • Provide project managers with financial reports as required and amend contracts as needed.
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts for the EMEA B&P divisions, providing appropriate level review, analyses and reconciliation.
  • Maintain revenue schedules for monthly review by Senior Management.
  • Prepare revenue and pre-bill revenue recognition schedules in line with B&P services contracts. Ensuring contracts and appropriate documentation are in place for all revenue.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries in line with month end procedures.
  • Transactional support of P&Ls for B&P cost centers; ensuring accuracy of reporting, meaningful variance analysis and commentary for Senior Management.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for the EMEA B&P cost centers.
  • Co-ownership of the B&P commercial inbox.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify potential process efficiencies & contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
  • Liaising with auditors and creating financial reports to support year-end and other audit requirements.
  • Develop financial systems to drive efficiencies and make processes more user friendly.

The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ experience in a finance-related role, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or accounting support.
  • Ideally part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with PivotTables and VLOOKUPs is desirable.
  • Proactive and results oriented, able to work under own initiative and complete tasks to deadline.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
