WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Responsibility for the monthly reporting process across various EMEA football companies and cost centres, including full P&L and balance sheet reporting and variance analysis.
  • Responsible for managing the monthly forecast process.
  • Responsible for consolidation of all European Football cost centres, including preparation of consolidated reporting pack with commentary and analysis for business stakeholders.
  • Maintaining clean and accurate data across the divisions.
  • Supporting with system integrations.
  • Management and development of 1x Direct Report.
  • Business partnering to VP International Operations, European Football.

Month End Close & Analysis

  • Own and prepare the month end close process; ensuring timetables are adhered to and deliverables are met.
  • Preparation and review of departmental P&Ls and associated supporting schedules.
  • Prepare, review and maintain accurately reconciled revenue schedules.
  • Prepare, review and distribute agent commission statements.
  • Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Own and present the monthly performance and variance analysis to senior management.
  • Prepare monthly key management information packs for heads of department with commentary and supporting schedules.
  • Manage the monthly reforecast process, ensuring inputs are aligned with accurate and up to date information.
  • Maintain monthly football database.
  • Model and run ad hoc analysis to support commercial decisions.
  • Bonus calculation/tracking.

Control & Compliance

  • Review future billings schedules for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review and approve customer, supplier and invoices processed through the system.
  • Review and manage the account payables and receivables for those cost centres responsible for in conjunction with Shared Service Centre team.
  • Support on the collections process and ensure payables are paid in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.

Other

  • Assist and support on the year-end financial and other audits, preparing, maintaining and explaining supporting schedules and processes.
  • Continuous process improvement, ensuring the system is fully optimised to make processes as efficient as possible.
  • Team/project support for business initiatives.
  • Assist with accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establish robust financial controls and align to group accounting policies.
  • Support the wider finance team in key business initiatives.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required, strong FP&A skills required.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • 3+ years qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel. Ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs.
  • Proactive and results oriented, able to work under own initiative and complete tasks to deadline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in management accounting & business partnering roles.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and office applications (Pivots and logic formula).
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections in a clear and insightful manner to non-finance as well as finance users.
  • Experience working in a multi-national company.
