We are a diverse creative services department responsible for delivering award-winning experiences in partnership with an exciting portfolio of sports, lifestyle, and entertainment clients, and we’re on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. Organised, calm and collaborative – we’re looking for a committed and proactive Senior Project Manager with experience managing creative activations and live events. You possess the ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and make decisions. You’re confident in leading a diverse team of creatives, designers and production specialists to ensure projects & events are executed flawlessly. A sociable, positive & resourceful PM, who remains calm under pressure and enjoys working as part of a team.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Working as part of our Creative Services team, you will oversee the smooth running of creative projects from start to finish. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day project schedules, creative deliverables, internal meetings and reviews & working closely with creative and account teams, to deliver high-quality work, on time and on budget.
Other Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, identify resourcing / staffing needs and timelines across multiple campaigns and departments
- Monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems while proactively identifying solutions
- Conduct and manage internal meetings to review status of all ongoing projects
- Set and define new processes as needed
- Oversee the output of the team; acting as the final checkpoint to ensure quality is kept high across all projects.
- Communicate project status both internally and externally according to agreed account process.
- Be financially conscientious when managing the delivery of a project ensuring all relevant parties are aware of financial implications of delays, additional amends and re-briefs & confident scoping if needed
- Be a valued team member and enjoy working with people from different disciplines within Wasserman, helping to keep our vibrant team culture.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- 5+ years’ experience managing briefs from initial briefing to delivery
- Experience working in an agency is a must - if a creative agency, even better
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience across multiple disciplines such as design, editing, animation and production, and technical competence and understanding of a full creative process
- Experience working with live events and activations is a must – onsite experience a bonus.
- Excellent understanding of project finances and commercials – estimating, timings, costs and invoicing.
- Confident communication skills both internally and externally with clients.
- Comfortable and confident in working with all types of people is key and relationship-building is a big part of the job.
- Be able to handle multiple projects at any given moment often under quick turnarounds.
- Remain calm and personable even under pressure and when working to tight deadlines.
- Be organised and methodical in their approach to work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications and project management software such as Asana.
