Responsibilities:

  • Raise and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and support effective inventory control to meet operational demands.
  • Liaise with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support supplier negotiations by gathering pricing, lead time, and product information.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier information.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and service teams to understand requirements and demand.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier performance.
  • Assist with sourcing new products or suppliers where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency.
  • Process warranty claims with our suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role (ideally in a fast-paced environment).
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
  • Good communication skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in cost control and supplier performance.
  • Experience using IT systems, spreadsheets, and purchasing or ERP systems.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments.
