About this Role
Waseley Hills High School is seeking an adaptable and empathetic Student Welfare Officer to support students with their wellbeing and behaviour. The successful candidate will work with the wider pastoral team, students aged 11 to 18, and in collaboration with specialised external agencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for student wellbeing and behaviour.
- Collaborate with the pastoral team and external agencies.
- Engage with students aged 11–18, acting as a good listener and communicator.
- Act proactively to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with teenagers.
- Excellent listening and communication skills with young people.
- Adaptable, empathetic and driven to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Background checks: online checks and an enhanced DBS will be required; successful candidates must provide a birth certificate or evidence of name changes.
