As we prepare for our next phase of growth and innovation, we have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a National Account Executive to join our Grocery Team based in Park Royal. You will play a crucial part in the grocery sales team, supporting with running the accounts and growing the grocery business. This is a dynamic and exciting role that will offer new challenges and variety on a daily basis. It is an excellent first stepping stone to unlocking a promising career path in FMCG account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support wider team in preparation for customer meetings and attending when required
- Manage the field sales program – coordinate with account managers and sales controller. Book in visits, track spend, coordinate feedback and analysis
- Online – supporting team with online business strategy and share growth
- Contribute to ad hoc creative tasks – winning new retailers, internal communication about grocery team news
- Support on creation of sell‑in decks and brand updates
- Basic sales analysis; you will learn and develop this skill with help from the team
Insight Coordination and Reporting
- Monitor details of competitor and category activity and communicate internally to the cross‑functional team
- Store visits – regular feedback and tracking of observations. Eg. compliance of current Wasabi range, competitor innovation and activity, in‑store activation, promotions
- Collating and reporting grocery channel news
Administration
- Own the promotional proposal and new line set‑up forms process
- Update weekly account sales trackers (ROS tracker)
- ‘Monday’ critical path sales team coordination (NPD project management tool)
- Maintain control docs – retailer product bible, team promo and shopper calendar, field sales calendar, risks and opportunities
- Support MD Grocery and Sales Controller on admin tasks
- Sample coordination for retailer meets and retailer requests
Qualifications
- Driving licence required – will need to be regularly going out on store visits
- Experience in FMCG preferable but not essential
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Analytical and competent with numbers
- Ability to use data and insights to solve problems and identify opportunities
- Comfortable with ambiguity, have a real ‘can‑do attitude’ and thirst for knowledge
- Ability and experience using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Team player, confident with great communication skills
