The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain communication with management to stay informed of any changes to deliveries, routes, or schedules.
- Listen, observe, and actively contribute to discussions relevant to the job.
- Complete daily paperwork to ensure the van’s temperature and other food safety requirements are consistently monitored.
- Deliver food across our branches in London efficiently and on time.
- Understand and apply health and safety procedures relevant to the role, including manual handling, safe use of equipment, first aid and hygiene practices, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Pick and pack stock accurately.
- Unload supplier deliveries promptly and safely.
- Lift food trays and boxes regularly when loading and unloading the van.
- Follow pre-planned routes accurately without deviation, considering possible traffic conditions.
- Drive safely and comply with all driving laws and regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, well-maintained, and ensure it has sufficient fuel, oil, water, and proper tyre pressure.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and work well within teams.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships necessary for the role.
- Our Requirements
- You must have a full clean driving licence type C and be able to drive a
- 26 tonne truck
- You must have
- CPC and Digital Tacho Card
- Ability to work in a team or individually.
- Can do, hands‑on and proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills with a good command of the English language.
- Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
