The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with management to stay informed of any changes to deliveries, routes, or schedules.
• Listen, observe, and actively contribute to discussions relevant to the job.
• Complete daily paperwork to ensure the van’s temperature and other food safety requirements are consistently monitored.
• Deliver food across our branches in London efficiently and on time.
• Understand and apply health and safety procedures relevant to the role, including manual handling, safe use of equipment, first aid and hygiene practices, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Pick and pack stock accurately.
• Unload supplier deliveries promptly and safely.
• Lift food trays and boxes regularly when loading and unloading the van.
• Follow pre-planned routes accurately without deviation, considering possible traffic conditions.
• Drive safely and comply with all driving laws and regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, well-maintained, and ensure it has sufficient fuel, oil, water, and proper tyre pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and work well within teams.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships necessary for the role.

Our Requirements

• You must have a full clean driving licence type C and be able to drive a 26 tonne truck.
• You must have CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
• Ability to work in a team or individually.
• Can do, hands‑on and proactive attitude.
• Good communication skills with a good command of the English language.
• Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
