Driving Skills Trainer – Permanent • Full time
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: £40,383.00 - £42,612.00
Closing date: 12 noon on Wednesday 18 February 2026.
Main responsibilities
- To research, prepare and plan training material according to any stated objectives and in accordance with organisational requirements.
- To support the learning of others using the most effective medium.
- To prepare reports, tests and assessments on delegates / students as required.
- To validate and update training material as appropriate.
- To identify and apply appropriate evaluation processes, incorporating feedback into training design.
- Maintain knowledge / accreditation and skills with regard to national, regional and local developments in Driver Skills.
- Provide advice to the organisation as required.
- To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
Special conditions
- Working unsocial hours including weekends and night-time.
- Regular travel throughout Warwickshire.
- Wearing of a uniform.
- Possible exposure to disturbing/unpleasant images or tasks i.e. when driving a marked car may be called on to deal with an accident.
Person Specification
- Knowledge: Training and Development lead body Level 4 qualification or equivalent (e.g. CTLLS) OR be prepared to attain such a qualification within 12 months.
- Experience: Experience of providing developmental support, coaching or mentoring to learners. Workplace assessment of learners against agreed standards.
- Key Skills: Trained Police Advanced Driver. Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills.
