We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with a focus on dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in daily activities, including personal care, shopping, managing bills, and attending medical appointments.
  • Help clients engage with the local community and promote independence.
  • Develop deep connections with clients, acting as a reliable, kind-hearted, and compassionate Support Worker.

Qualifications

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care would be advantageous; applications from those new to the Care industry are welcomed.
  • Training will be provided, with ongoing learning opportunities for existing staff.
  • Previous experience in care or patient care is preferred, particularly in supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
  • A background in nursing or childcare may be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their best quality of life.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting.
