We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with a focus on dignity and respect.

Duties:

  • Support clients with daily activities including personal care, shopping, managing bills, attending medical appointments, and exploring the local community.
  • Provide assistance with tasks that vary each shift, ensuring flexibility and opportunity to learn.
  • Develop deep connections with clients, acting as a reliable, kind-hearted and compassionate support worker contributing to growth and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (advantageous) or no prior experience (training provided).
  • Previous experience in care or patient care preferred, especially for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s licence beneficial for transporting clients.
  • Background in nursing or childcare helpful but not essential.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their best quality of life.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting.

Pay: £12.21 - £12.55 per hour
