We're looking for a Junior Web Editor to work with ICT colleagues and services across the council to improve online user experiences for Warwickshire residents. This role is ideal for someone interested in public services and how we can deliver them digitally to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver customer-focused services via our online platforms.
- Contribute to the support and maintenance of multiple systems, both for internal use as well as external customer-facing.
- Make improvements to web content to enable accessibility, readability and to bring it in line with the digital style guide.
- Liaise with stakeholders across business, managing expectations and influencing views and opinions.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- At least one year's experience of using a CMS to manage web content.
- The ability to independently interpret and analyse web requests logged or situations and to produce solutions.
- The ability to organise own workload and decide priorities.
- Experience of ensuring the content of sites is in line with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Experience of contributing to the development of web policies and procedures.
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
- Right to work in the UK.
- (Desirable) Excellent knowledge of HTML.
- Good practical knowledge of web technologies and industry best practices.
- Experience of stakeholder management.
- Experience of providing information and advice, including the ability to communicate complicated information regarding web technologies to varied audiences.
- Aware of, and strong commitment to, customer care.
- Confidence to promote good practice and challenge content quality issues.
- Fluency Duty: ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
