About the Team
Adult Social Care at Warwickshire County Council offers Reablement services. Reablement is a short‑term service (no longer than 6 weeks) for people over 18 who may have a disability, be frail, or be recovering from an illness or injury.
About the Role
As a Reablement Assistant you will provide support to a variety of customers, helping them regain confidence and skill in daily tasks such as washing, dressing, medication and meal preparation. You will follow personalised care plans, encourage and motivate customers and support them in living independently at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in performing daily routines.
- Encourage and motivate customers to regain skills.
- Support customers in washing, dressing, medication management and meal preparation.
- Work within the 7‑day Reablement service hours (7 am – 10 pm, every day of the year).
Key Requirements
- Driving licence and access to a car required.
- Up to 25 hours per week guaranteed; 25‑hour contract spread over 5 days (5‑hour shifts).
- Pay starts at £12.59 per hour and rises to £13.47 per hour; Sunday and bank holiday premiums apply.
- Mileage allowance of £0.45 per mile for travel.
- Shifts on a rolling rota: 2 weeks 7 am – 2:30 pm; 1 week 2:30 pm – 10 pm; includes weekends and bank holidays.
